WILLIAM EGGLESTON

One of the artist's best known works in it's earliest, vintage medium!

When first making color photos, Eggleston tried not to be aware whether or not he had color or black-and-white film in his camera. Known as the "Breakthrough Photographs," these earliest prints were developed by Kodak as snapshot-like tiny prints. Many are unique. All are signed. Each is an amazing work of art.

Reproduced often, including in the Whitney's 2008 "Democratic Camera," this image is dated as early as 1965 and credited to Eggleston's "Los Alamos" Project.
